At Smiley Pediatric, we work with children to support their language and speech sound growth. However, our speech therapists also specialize in feeding therapy (which includes motoric, behavioral, ARFID, and sensory based needs), as well as, Apraxia, Gestalt Language Processing, Executive Functioning, and AAC (communication devices)
Not only do our Occupational therapist work on Sensory integration and fine motor skills… But our therapist are also specialized in vision, retained primitive reflexes, behavioral modification, and Emotional regulation.
Is your child a picky eater, do they not have the mastication skills to properly chew their foods, are they highly avoidant and fearful of foods? These are just a few of the areas of feeding therapy that our therapist are trained to address.
Preschool Prep is a wonderful setting for our kids to start working on socializing. This is a 3 hr therapy session, that is led by a speech and occupational therapist, and it is set up in a Preschool manner. The children experience center time, circle time, individual therapy time, and snack time. Class sizes are only 4-5 children per class, which helps with providing an individualized classroom option.
